Important notes - Air conditioning
As the temperatures rise, so too does the desire of many tenants to retrofit their homes with air conditioning units. Before the installation of air conditioners with an outdoor part, of course, legal conditions must be observed. Depending on location and size different building regulations apply and it may require a permit from the building authority. In Vienna, facilities are free of permits if they have no impact on the cityscape and the noise emission does not affect the neighbors. Safety has to be taken into account when purchasing an air conditioning system. Unfortunately, (mobile) air-conditioning units in combination with gas-fired heaters can lead to terrible accidents.
