Matomo

Marketing measures

General information

Purpose of data processing: Our website uses tools with which personal data can be processed for the specific purpose of aligning the display of advertising content to the website user’s hypothetical interests, derived from individual patterns of use and to measure the reach of our advertising content.

Scope of data processing: For the purposes stated, we, or third parties commissioned by us, process personal data on the website visitor’s usage behaviour (e.g. length of stay, websites accessed, content searched for, services used), technical data (e.g. masked IP addresses, devices and programmes used to access the website), and also, subject to approval, data regarding the website visitor’s physical location.

However, data that allows identification of the website user may be merged with the user profiles if the website visitor also uses other services supplied by a third-party provider who provides data processing tools for marketing purposes (e.g. profiles in social media). The data is merged exclusively by the third-party provider and on the basis of any existing agreements between the website visitor and the third-party provider. Generally speaking, third-party providers only provide us with aggregated data which we use to measure the reach of our advertising content and the effectiveness of our advertising activities. Tools used

Retargeting/Remarketing

This website uses retargeting services from the following provider: Google Ads Remarketing, a retargeting service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Retargeting technology enables us to target visitors to our websites who are already interested in our products with personalised and interest-based advertising. The insertion of the advertising media is based on an analysis of the previous usage behaviour, which is determined using stored cookies. However, personal data is not stored. For you as a visitor, this means that when retargeting technology is used, a cookie, i.e. a small text file, is stored on your computer or mobile device in order to collect anonymous data about your interests and thus adapt the advertisement individually to the stored information. This allows you to view advertisements that are highly likely to match your product and information interests.

Google Analytics reports on demographics and interests

This website uses Google Analytics reports on demographic characteristics, in which data from interest-related advertising by Google and visitor data from third parties (e.g. interests, age, gender) are used. This data is anonymous and cannot be traced back to any specific person and can be deactivated in the ad settings.

Use of the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel)

We use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland) on our website. The Meta Pixel allows us to track the actions of users after they have been redirected to our website by clicking on a Facebook or Instagram ad. This helps us evaluate the effectiveness of our ads for statistical and market research purposes and improve future advertising measures.

The data collected is anonymous to us, meaning we cannot draw any conclusions about individual users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, allowing a connection to the user profile and enabling Meta to use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with its privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/)

The use of the Meta Pixel and the storage of cookies by Meta will only take place with your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time via our cookie settings.

Data transfer to the USA: Please note that data may be transferred to the USA when using Meta services. In such cases, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR apply to ensure an adequate level of data protection.
